How did this happen?

Roadwork Devices are designed and built in Cerrillos, New Mexico just south of Santa Fe.

Creating one of a kind unusual Art using miscellaneous materials and repurposing them into something unique, beautiful, and useful.

No two items are exactly the same.

There is no mass production, I’m just one guy with simple tools building one item at a time, so every piece is custom and one of a kind, complete with minor imperfections, some intentional and others just part of the art.

We make our Art with fine new and reclaimed woods as well as high quality componets. Each lamp has a felt bottom to protect your fine furnature.

March 2020, the Flu changed everything for alot of people, me included. My Career was put on hold and I was left with finding other paths to move my life forward. In Nov of 2020 I walked in the garage and built a simple fun lamp out of some plumbing parts to pass the time. I posted it on facebook and a number of friends asked if I could build them one or two in some cases.

My background in Film and Television has left me with alot of inspiration to draw from, so I dont draw designs, I just start out with some parts in front of me and the vision takes it from there. I have been making a few “similar” pipe lamps because people have been asking for them. These are similar but always somewhat different than what I have done before. The “non pipe” art lamps are all one of a kind and can not be duplicated. I can build similar pieces, but I only have limited amounts of certian tubes and knobs, thus making everything one of a kind.
