Jacobs Ladder
Looking to do somethings outside of the steampunk look I came up with the idea to make a Jacobs ladder vintage tube radio. Of course a real Jacobs ladder is dangerous and high voltage, so I used LED to assimilate the look. The large vacuum tube is lit from below.
The Jacobs ladder and vacuum tube are on a simple push button switch and the two LED vintage bulbs are on a seperate. dimmer.
in addition the Jacobs ladder has 7 different light functions as well as on and off seperatly for the other bulbs
This way you can use as a lamp or just for an atmosphiric night light.
The polished copper has been hand polished and then patinad holds the LED bulbs. Ambrosia wormy maple makes up the wood base.
The dimmer knob is from an old 50’s studio light and the cover for the push buttons are 45 caliber and 30-06 bullet casings.
110 volt made with high quality parts and all connections are soldered and double insulated for long life.
The base has a soft felt bottom to protect your fine furnature and an extra long 8 foot vintage style lamp cord and plug give it a really authentic vibe.
